I have arrived in Thailand

So after being on a plane for 17 1/2 hours, and listening to the Owl City CD 80 times(Which totally rocks btw), I have finally arrived in Bangkok, Thailand. I had a layover in Hong Kong and I was able to find a Starbucks and treat myself to a creamy cheese cake (yum!) And text/call some people that I already missed back home. Then I was off on a plane again for 2.5 hours to BK.
I was really nervous at customs in Thailand because I did not have a Visa, but apparently, I am in the clear for 30 days as an American (go usa!).
Last time in China, no one was there to pick me up from the airport for almost 2 hours. That was seriously the GREATEST feeling in the world. But this time, there was a girl who had my comp card and picked me out of the crowd. I was so relieved that she was there.
Okay, Thailand is really cool. First of all, it's clean. I did not see litter anywhere. Also, everyone has new cars. I didn't see one clonker on the road. People still drive crazy, but it is still in an organized manner.

The owner of my agency then called the girl who picked me up and informed me that I had two castings that day. I was like... uh... 17 1/2 hour flight.. Um hello?? But I sucked it up and decided I shouldn't sleep like I wanted to. I need to get over my jet lag, and sleeping in mid afternoon BK time would not help me.
I arrived at the house which is also where the agency is located. It's a pretty nice place. There are 5 bedrooms each with at least 2 girls in a room. So there are a lot of us. The estrogen level is pretty high here. I actually still don't know how many people live here haha. I'm sure I'll find out one day soon.We keep all our doors closed because of mosquitoes, so I haven't actually met everyone yet.
But there are a lot of rules here. It's kind of crazy, but I feel they are necessary to keep this place in good shape. There is no smoking inside which is the best rule they have, and no shoes upstairs. This place has really pretty wood flooring. So, compared to what other models have told me about living in Milan and Paris and such, this is heaven for sure. My bed is comfy and I have A/C too.
I do share a room with a really nice Polish girl. Our beds are squished together so it's like we sleep in the same bed, but it worked out ok last night so I am not complaining about it.
We also have a maid who cleans everything, and who even does our laundry! Cool right?? She cleans the dishes too. The owner has now hired a security guard to guard to house at night. So we are also pretty safe here.
I did my two castings and got to see the rest of the models in the area. Needless to say, everyone is pretty attractive and there are more English speakers this time.
The Thai people are really nice and don't stare at you like you are an alien, which I appreciate.
The supermarket is also pretty nice and has stuff from all over the world so it looks like I will be able to eat the same things I did at home. Of course, while I am out here I need to try some traditional Thai food.
Well, this is just the beginning of my 3 month contract in Thailand...
